Hari lahir Rasulullah adalah Senin, sedangkan bulan lahirnya adalah Rabiulawal. Apa hikmah di balik itu, sehingga Rasulullah di lahirkan pada hari dan bulan tersebut?
Kenapa tidak dilahirkan di bulan yang lain, seperti bulan Ramadan, yang mana pada bulan tersebut al-Quran diturunkan dan pada bulan Ramadan pula terdapat Lailatul Qadar, atau kenapa tidak dilahirkan pada bulan-bulan hurum (bulan-bulan yang dimuliakan, Dzul Qa’dah, Dzulhijjah, Muharram dan Rojab)?
Untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut, terdapat empat penjelasan yang disampaikan oleh Syaikh Abdurrahman Bin Abi Bakar Jalaluddin as-Suyuti dalam kitabnya al-Hāwī lil- Fatāwi, juz I, Halaman 231. Berikut redaksinya:
اﻷﻭﻝ: ﻣﺎ ﻭﺭﺩ ﻓﻲ اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ ﻣﻦ ﺃﻥ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺧﻠﻖ اﻟﺸﺠﺮ ﻳﻮﻡ اﻻﺛﻨﻴﻦ، ﻭﻓﻲ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺗﻨﺒﻴﻪ ﻋﻈﻴﻢ، ﻭﻫﻮ ﺃﻥ ﺧﻠﻖ اﻷﻗﻮاﺕ ﻭاﻷﺭﺯاﻕ ﻭاﻟﻔﻮاﻛﻪ ﻭاﻟﺨﻴﺮاﺕ اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﻤﺘﺪ ﺑﻪ ﺑﻨﻮ ﺁﺩﻡ ﻭﻳﺤﻴﻮﻥ ﻭﺗﻄﻴﺐ ﺑﻬﺎ ﻧﻔﻮﺳﻬﻢ.
Artinya: “Pertama, sebagaimana terdapat di dalam hadis bahwa Allah Swt. menciptakan pohon pada hari Senin, dan hal itu menjadi perhatian yang besar, di mana Allah Swt juga menciptakan waktu-waktu, rezeki, buah-buahan, dan segala kebaikan yang diberikan kepada manusia sebagai sumber kehidupan mereka.”
اﻟﺜﺎﻧﻲ: ﺃﻥ ﻓﻲ ﻟﻔﻈﺔ ﺭﺑﻴﻊ ﺇﺷﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺗﻔﺎﺅﻻ ﺣﺴﻨﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﻨﺴﺒﺔ ﺇﻟﻰ اﺷﺘﻘﺎﻗﻪ، ﻭﻗﺪ ﻗﺎﻝ ﺃﺑﻮ ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺼﻘﻠﻲ: ﻟﻜﻞ ﺇﻧﺴﺎﻥ ﻣﻦ اﺳﻤﻪ ﻧﺼﻴﺐ.
Artinya: “Kedua, lafadz Rabi’ di dalam Rabiul Awal sebagai isyarat dan pertanda kebaikan yang dinisbatkan kepada akar katanya. Sebagaimana perkataan imam Abu Abdirrahman As-Shaqali, yaitu Setiap manusia itu sesuai dengan namanya.”
اﻟﺜﺎﻟﺚ: ﺃﻥ ﻓﺼﻞ اﻟﺮﺑﻴﻊ ﺃﻋﺪﻝ اﻟﻔﺼﻮﻝ ﻭﺃﺣﺴﻨﻬﺎ، ﻭﺷﺮﻳﻌﺘﻪ ﺃﻋﺪﻝ اﻟﺸﺮاﺋﻊ ﻭﺃﺳﻤﺤﻬﺎ.
Artinya: Ketiga, Musim Rabi’ adalah musim semi. Musim yang paling sedang dan baik. Begitu juga dengan syariat yang dibawa oleh Nabi Saw. adalah syariat yang paling sedang (adil) dan toleran.”
اﻟﺮاﺑﻊ: ﺃﻥ اﻟﺤﻜﻴﻢ ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻧﻪ ﺃﺭاﺩ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺸﺮﻑ ﺑﻪ اﻟﺰﻣﺎﻥ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻭﻟﺪ ﻓﻴﻪ، ﻓﻠﻮ ﻭﻟﺪ ﻓﻲ اﻷﻭﻗﺎﺕ اﻟﻤﺘﻘﺪﻡ ﺫﻛﺮﻫﺎ ﻟﻜﺎﻥ ﻗﺪ ﻳﺘﻮﻫﻢ ﺃﻧﻪ ﻳﺘﺸﺮﻑ ﺑﻬﺎ.
Artinya: “Keempat, Allah Swt. yang Maha Bijaksana ingin memuliakan masa ini dengan dilahirkannya Nabi Muhammad Saw. Maka apabila Nabi Saw. dilahirkan pada waktu-waktu yang lalu (Dzul Qa’dah, Dzulhijjah, Muharram, Rajab atau Ramadan), maka akan diduga bahwa kemuliaan Nabi Muhammad Saw. itu karena lahir di bulan mulia tersebut.
